Future Force Program

“There is no exclusively military answer to the challenges we face. The future force we need is a deeply networked and networking force. A force that is embedded in an ecosystem that involves us all” – Former Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces Tom Middendorp, 2015

Future Force is the initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Defence to bring together armed forces and their partners as well as other stakeholders, including the general public. Future Force aims to contribute to the development and sharing of knowledge in the security domain and insights in new technologies.

Future Force also covers global trends that impact on security. The aim is to improve and safeguard our safety and security in an ever-changing international landscape.

For 2021, our efforts will culminate in a Conference which is to take place digitally in 28 October 2021. This website contains information about the programme as well as network meetings and events in the run up to the main conference.

Would you like to know more about the Future Force Program, or are you interested in joining? Please do not hesitate to reach out to Lieutenant Marie van der Gaag. She would be happy to answer your questions.
